I've been immersed in the world of investments and building projects for over 25 years (even when I took a detour to write a novel that ended up becoming a bestseller, the feeling was still like launching a startup from scratch).
Building something from nothing is hard. Very hard. I've lived it firsthand several times. Then I thought investing would be easier and more fun: I became an investor in other people's funds, launched a venture builder, an incubator, an accelerator, and several proprietary investment vehicles. I was wrong again. Investing is equally demanding. Managing your own money—and even more so other people's—weighs like a burden, and finding truly exceptional opportunities is a constant challenge. The worst part is that sometimes you find them... but the door closes because you're not part of the right circle.
There had to be a better way.
That's why I decided to surround myself with people notably smarter and more brilliant than me, and that's how the idea of 007i began to take shape.
The concept is simple yet transformative: a private, conflict-free space where a diverse community—not just investors with decades of experience, but professionals with deep knowledge in specific sectors—can share high-caliber alternative opportunities, learn from each other, and collectively access deals typically reserved for large institutions or exclusive networks. And, naturally, co-invest in them in a tax-efficient manner.
What makes this club special is precisely that community: each member brings something unique, whether it's an investment track record, technical expertise in a specific area, access to particular networks, or a fresh perspective on emerging trends. That combination of perspectives is what allows us to discover and validate opportunities that a single individual could hardly find.
In an investment environment as volatile as today's—where everything can change overnight and technological disruption advances at dizzying speed—having this collective intelligence is more crucial than ever. Artificial intelligence is at the center of this revolution: it will completely reconfigure how companies are built, content is produced, assets are managed, and financial strategies are executed. But I don't want to limit myself to these areas alone. I'm convinced there are many other fascinating alternative opportunities to discover, and for that, this community is absolutely key: the diversity of experiences and knowledge from all of you allows me to identify, validate, and access exceptional deals that would otherwise be unreachable.
